Superstylin' - Groove Armada

Superstyling'

Groove Armada

"The Groove Armada lads"

Human's heart beat with a certain rhythm which depends, basically, on the mind status. Rhythm is inside us by nature. We carry music wherever we go, as long as we live. Music is inside everyone's. I believe Andy Cato and Tom Findlay met each other with both suffering for the mutual need of materialize and express their feelings through the music. And, to be honest, everyone has passed at a certain moment of the life for this point. Even me, without no talents for music composition, whistling from time to time creating mixes with old Beethoven and some of the actual Manu Chao.

Groove Armada is the name of the electronic music group Andy and Tom created back in the 90s in London, England. Groove Armada's first solid hit in the radios and music markets was "At the river", within the album "Northern star", a very relaxing, comfortable and chilling album. I highly recommend playing this entire album when looking for a nice ambiance.

But there's one song that takes my Groove Armada's number 1:  Superstylin'. This song exhibits the flexibility of Groove Armada to create electronic songs with non-common elements like the reggae-rap vocals, the electric guitars from rock music, or the funny melodies from pop. They do not leave electronic boundaries, they just expand them and make the electronic music much more rich.

Superstyling' was released on August 13th, 2001, reached high position in the radio chart in UK, Italy, even the USA. In 2003 Superstylin' was nominated for a Grammy in the category of best Dance recording (The prize went to Dirty Vegas' Days go by). The song is just a full load of energy directly to your soul. As soon as you hear this song in the air it is inevitable to start moving you body, your heart feel it and beats faster, your mind creates more endorphins and happiness is already here. Your sweaty hands looks for the volume control to set it to the maximum levels... enter in the dance, plug it in and we begin.
